Our Team

The Grace Garden Core Team is made up of young adults who are lead by our president, Kristen Scott. Each member has been on at least one trip to Guatemala in summer of 2017. The entire team has a heart for caring for children, and we have decided to take our experiences and create a stronger foundation to serve those in the foster system and those who are orphans around the globe.

My name is Jessa Munstedt and I am the current Vice President of grace garden. I work directly with the other officers to help guide everyone towards completing our short-term goals, as well as work with the president to make sure these goals align with our long-term goals. I am involved in grace garden because it is the result of a dream I had with my mom since the very first short-term mission we took in December of 2011. I am so grateful for all the grace that has been given to us along the way and am super excited to see how far this group will go. I am currently a senior at Texas Tech University working towards a Bachelors of Science in Restaurant, Hotel and Institutional  Management. Some of my favorite things to do in my spare time are to cuddle my dog Bandit, eat at new restaurants, and binge watches my favorite shows on Netflix.

Financial Officer, Jacob Starnes

Hello! My name is Jacob Starnes, and I’m one of the financial officers for grace garden. I’m currently a student at Collin College, studying Accounting and an aspiring to be a Certified Public Accountant. I also work part time for Plano ISD Pasar, where I’m an activity specialist, supervising elementary students after school until they’re picked up. My biggest inspiration for taking part in this endeavor is derived from my past experiences with giving back to the Lord. In the past, I’ve always thought it a necessary part of my life to help others, whether it be donating a few dollars to the church/charities or just simply being a friend for someone in need. While these opportunities were brought to me, I still felt there was something much bigger planned. When I was presented with the opportunity to be a part of this organization, it was I knew this was it; my hopes were actually coming to fruition. Now here we are, and I’m truly excited, to say the least.

Hi, I am Danielle Munstedt. I am Texas Tech University alumni with a double major in Marketing and Management. I have been to Guatemala four times, and I absolutely love it. The reason I got involved in Grace Garden is that I love the children we reach, and I know the difference this charity makes. It truly changes everyone that is involved with it. In my free time, I can be found studying for law school, reading books, or playing with my puppy. I love being active and being around others, I am also a very driven person that loves to coordinate and facilitate events. I am currently the Marketing Chair for Grace Garden where I create and maintain the Social Media and websites. I am very excited to work towards our goals.

Hi, my name is Christine Thomas and I am the Fundraising Coordinator for Grace Garden events and campaigns. I have volunteered my time for over 8 years to different non-profits and since it brings me joy to "help" others I knew that Grace Garden would be an opportunity to do exactly that, Give to others. As a sophomore at Collin College, I am following a path of studies that include psychology, business, and education. I truly enjoy children and it never feels like work. In my spare time, I am a make-up artist. I enjoy working with women to accentuate their beauty and be their best selves. Some of my happiest moments are seeing a happy face and knowing that I contributed to bettering someone's life. My goal is to leave this world a better place.
